Hampi Arrive at the homestay

Freshen up and enjoy breakfast before beginning your guided exploration of South Hampi, the spiritual and cultural heart of the Vijayanagara Empire. Begin your tour with the sacred Virupaksha Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of India's oldest continuously worshipped temples. Continue through the historic Hampi Bazaar, the ancient marketplace of the Vijayanagara Empire, before visiting the Monolithic Nandi, Sasivekalu Ganesha, and Kadalekalu Ganesha. Explore the temples scattered across Hemakuta Hill, known for their stunning architecture and panoramic views. Proceed to the magnificent Krishna Temple Complex and the nearby Badavilinga (Largest Shiva Linga) and Lakshmi Narasimha Statue (Ugra Narasimha), two of Hampi's most iconic monolithic sculptures. Continue to the beautifully carved Underground Shiva Temple (Prasanna Virupaksha Temple) before enjoying a traditional Maharashtrian lunch. In the afternoon, visit the grand Achyutaraya Temple, followed by the sacred Kodanda Rama Temple on the banks of the Tungabhadra River. Continue to Yantrodharaka Hanuman Temple, a peaceful shrine offering breathtaking river views. End the day with a climb to Matanga Hill, the highest point in Hampi, to witness a spectacular sunset and capture memorable photographs. Return to the homestay for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 02 :

North Hampi

After breakfast, check out from the homestay and proceed towards North Hampi. Begin the day with a visit to Anjanadri Hill, believed to be the birthplace of Lord Hanuman, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the Tungabhadra Valley. Continue to the world-famous Vijaya Vittala Temple, renowned for its magnificent Stone Chariot and legendary Musical Pillars. Nearby, explore King's Balance, Purandaradasa Mantapa, and enjoy a traditional Coracle Ride on the Tungabhadra River (subject to weather and water levels). After lunch, discover the grandeur of the Royal Enclosure, including the majestic Mahanavami Dibba, the beautifully sculpted Hazara Rama Temple, the historic Stepped Tank (Pushkarni), the fascinating Secret Chamber, and the Underground Chamber. Continue to the elegant Lotus Mahal, the impressive Elephant Stables, and the Zenana Enclosure. Visit the beautifully designed Queen's Bath, one of the finest examples of Indo-Islamic architecture in Hampi. If time permits before departure, visit the Archaeological Museum, Kamalapura, which houses an excellent collection of sculptures, inscriptions, coins, and artefacts from the Vijayanagara Empire. Enjoy a short tea break followed by time for shopping for local handicrafts, stone carvings, banana fibre products, and traditional souvenirs. In the late evening, begin your return journey to Pune. Dinner will be served en route on a self-paid basis
